9×9 Sudoku — the classic challenge

Place 1–9 once per row, column, and 3×3 box. This is Sudoku as the world knows it: 5–10 minutes on Easy, 20+ minutes on Expert.

Why pick 9×9

  • The classic Sudoku experience loved worldwide
  • Widest difficulty range — from Easy to Expert
  • Room for advanced techniques like X-Wing and Swordfish
  • Home base for the Daily challenge and Official/Assisted rankings

Who it's for

Choose 9×9 when you want a long, focused session, or when you're serious about chasing Daily rankings. Zero-hint runs are Official, hint-used runs are Assisted, and a fresh puzzle drops at 00:00 UTC every day.

9×9 Sudoku rules

Every row, column, and 3×3 box must contain the digits 1 through 9 exactly once. Morniura Sudoku never shows the solution on the play screen; you only see the completion result.

Today's 9×9

The daily 9×9 puzzle changes once per UTC day, and everyone on the same settings compares score and time on the same board.

9×9 solving tips

  • Start with rows, columns, or boxes that already have the fewest blanks.
  • When stuck, switch on notes and check hidden singles, locked candidates, then naked pairs.
  • For ranking, a clean run is usually more reliable than rushing and taking mistake penalties.

Scoring & ranking

Scores start from the live score you build by filling cells, then apply time and mistake penalties. Hints do not reduce score, but daily ranking is split into Official and Assisted.
